CANECSA is working with national regulatory bodies to accredit training institutions in member countries. Enrolment for the 2021 training year will begin in late 2020

CANECSA WRITTEN EXAMINATIONS HELD

CANECSA Written Examinations took place on October 7th in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Kenya, with 35 candidates.

CANECSA is the College of Anaesthesiologists of East, Central and Southern Africa. Constituent member countries are Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. CANECSA aims to advance education, standards, and research in safe anaesthesia and critical care for the people of East, Central and Southern Africa. CANECSA is an affiliate college of the East, Central and Southern Africa College of Health Sciences.

TRAINING INSTITUTIONS

CANECSA training will be undertaken in training institutions accredited by CANECSA and the national regulatory bodies. Training will be provided by CANECSA trained and accredited trainers.

PARTNERSHIP AND AFFILIATION

CANECSA is a Constituent College of the ECSA College of Health Sciences. CANECSA partners with the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland through an Irish Aid supported collaboration programme.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Annual subscription shall be payable. The amount of this shall be decided upon by the Council and approved by the AGM provided that Fellows shall pay twice the subscription rate of Members.

MEMBERS AND FELLOWS

For the purpose of joining, registration and in general, unless and until otherwise lawfully determined, the number of Fellows of the College of Anaesthesiologists shall be unlimited
